Today’s offering will not be a detailed Food Report. Instead, we’ll be snacking on a highly abbreviated share-post with a swirl of pictures, a sprinkling of details, and a dash of very limited commentary. Food Report: Tonkotsu Rāmen at Kyūshū Jangara (Tōkyō, Japan)
As an unadventurous creature of unsophisticated habit, I have a go-to place – Ichiran by name – which I search for almost instinctively whenever I’m struck by rāmen cravings in Japan. Like wasabi-flavoured Kit-Kats, for example. Or like miso-flavoured rāmen with a pat of butter and some corn thrown in.
Food Report: Ichiran (Atré Ueno branch, Tōkyō)
When in Japan, a proper bowl of ramen belongs firmly on every tourist’s itinerary. There are so many different regional varieties available, but if it’s Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen you’re after, this place is well worth considering.
